Apply for asset protection before starting construction, meet the engineering and drawing requirements, and complete the final inspection for a refund once work is completed.

Engineering standard drawings
Council provides engineering standard drawings for property owners, developers, service authorities, consultants and contractors.
Apply for an asset protection permit (APP)
Asset protection helps us protect our infrastructure assets from any damage that may occur during building or demolition works. You must apply for an Asset Protection Permit if you are planning to build (or undertake demolition works) in our city.
Apply for asset protection final inspection
Request a final inspection of your completed building work. Refunds will be paid in full if no damage to public assets is revealed.
