- Request copies of house plans and associated documents

- Occupancy Permit/Final Certificate
- Soil Report
- All Plans (structural, residential, truss)
- Builders Warranty Insurance
- Engineering Computations.
The fee is currently $271 for the first building permit file (a non-refundable search and copy fee), and a further $49.50 fee applies for each subsequent file about the same property.

- occupancy permit or final certificate (only for properties built after 1994)

You can request plans and other documents relating to multi-unit developments or commercial or industrial buildings.
The fee is $349 for the first building permit file and a further $168 fee applies for each subsequent file for the same property. This fee is non-refundable search and copy fee.

- Plans and permits are the property of the owner, and copies of documents may only be provided to the owner or an agent of the owner. Applicants for any of the documents requested who are not the property owner must complete and attach the Third Party Authorisation Form to their online request.
- There is no guarantee that the required plans or documents can be located or that the quality will be good.
- Permit files more than 40 years old are unlikely to be available.
- Boundary setbacks and other dimensions shown on plans should not be relied upon without being confirmed on-site by a licensed land surveyor.
