Obtain copies of plans and permits

Copies of planning permits and endorsed plans are available on request. To obtain a copy of a plan or permit, complete the online form.

Alternatively, you may require building plans to assist in the preparation of designs for new building work, garages or other outbuildings on the property.

Information and fees 

 Planning Permits are public documents and written consent is not required.

If you require copies of Endorsed Plans you must be, or have written consent from either: 

  • the current owner
  • the draftsperson
  • the original applicant 

Your application must be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee. The fee covers searching of Council records and administrative charges, but does not guarantee that Council is able to locate/provide copies of documents as requested.

Not all developments require a planning permit,  so there may not be endorsed plans available.

If you have attempted to request a copy online but were unable to do so, please complete the Planning Permit Information Request Form. If you wish to pay by credit card, please also complete a Credit Card Authorisation Form.

Copies of building plans and permits

All developments require a Building Permit. To obtain a copy of the 'as constructed' approved building plans, see: Get copies of building plans and permits.

Please note: currently, Council can only provide electronic copies of planning and building plans. We cannot send printed copies.
