About

The City of Casey offers a diverse range of creative programs that support curriculum-based learning, life-long education, youth engagement, and community involvement—fostering creativity and connection across all ages and abilities.

Curriculum-based learning

Bunjil Place provides a range of programs and events to support arts education in the classroom. Tailored to meet curriculum needs and support the learning of students, programs foster student engagement with the arts.

A range of professional learning programs and workshops are also offered across the year. Often artist-led, these programs and workshops create opportunities for teachers to gain new skills to take back to the classroom.

Visit Bunjil Place to learn more about education programs and opportunities for schools.

Creative learning

Get inspired, learn new skills and meet like-minded people at a range of workshops, talks and other programs hosted across City of Casey venues including Bunjil Place, Old Cheese Factory and your local community centre. Whether you are just starting out or looking to enhance your skills, there’s something for all ages and abilities to support your creative learning.

Visit Bunjil Place and the Casey Arts events to see what's on near you.

Youth engagement

Are you a young person, or know a young person, interested in arts and culture? City of Casey Youth Services and Bunjil Place offer a range of programs, events and activities developed especially for art lovers aged 15 – 25 years.

From after-school programs and art competitions to workshops and performances, there are many opportunities for young creatives to get involved and meet other like-minded young people.

Visit Bunjil Place and Casey Youth Services for a list of upcoming events.

Arts Agitators

Arts Agitators is an exciting youth program (ages 15 - 25 years) dedicated to helping artists and creatives working at the beginning of their careers to explore their creative style, as well as connect them with like-minded artists.

Working across a range of art forms and mediums, participants are encouraged to explore their own creative styles in a collaborative, supportive environment. They’ll have the opportunity to experience exhibitions and performances, take part in hands-on workshops run by established south-eastern artists, and create and develop their own arts-based events and projects.

Visit Bunjil Place to learn more.

Community engagement

The City of Casey uses Casey Conversations to gather community feedback on local initiatives of interest.

We will inform our arts and culture community when we are seeking formal feedback and post information about these opportunities on our webpage.

You can always provide feedback at any time by emailing arts@casey.vic.gov.au
