Our intention

The City of Casey is committed to supporting and nurturing creatives at every stage – whether you’re emerging, established, or exploring your passion as a hobbyist.  We aim to champion artistic endeavours and help foster a thriving, connected creative community.

Creative programs

Emerging Artist Hub

Located at the historic Narre Warren Mechanics Institute, the Emerging Artist Hub is a residency program designed to support local creatives from Melbourne’s South East. This dedicated space offers emerging artists the opportunity to grow their practice, collaborate with peers, and share skills and resources in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Art Spaces Program

The Art Spaces program plays a significant part in the City of Casey’s vibrant cultural landscape, offering artists unique opportunities to showcase their work in accessible community settings. Through a curated exhibition program, artists can apply to exhibit at one of four key venues:

  • Bunjil Place Library, Narre Warren
  • Cranbourne Library, Cranbourne
  • The Hayshed Studio, Old Cheese Factory, Berwick

These spaces celebrate creativity and provide a platform for diverse artistic voices across the region.

Arts Agitators

Arts Agitators is an exciting youth program (ages 15 - 25 years) dedicated to helping artists and creatives working at the beginning of their careers to explore their creative style, as well as connect them with like-minded artists.

Working across a range of artforms and mediums, participants are encouraged to explore their own creative styles in a collaborative, supportive environment. They’ll have the opportunity to experience exhibitions and performances, take part in hands-on workshops run by established south-eastern artists, and create and develop their own arts-based events and projects.
