About
Held in October, the Ageing Positively Festival is a month-long celebration of older people in Casey, featuring a wide range of events that recognise their contributions and inspire connection, curiosity, and active ageing. It invites older people to come together, try new experiences, and embrace positive ageing through meaningful, community-led activities.
The theme for 2026
This year's event theme is Connect, Create, Celebrate!
CONNECT: Help people meet others, reconnect with interests, and feel part of the community.
E.g. ‘come and try’ sessions, walking groups, men’s sheds, welcoming new participants
CREATE: Support creativity, culture, skills, and lifelong learning.
E.g. arts, crafts, music, digital skills session, practical workshop that builds skills and friendships
CELEBRATE: Highlight creativity, culture, contributions, and life experience.
E.g. performances or exhibitions by older people, cultural celebrations and storytelling
The event program will be released later on in the year once finalised.
