ANZAC Day

ANZAC Day is to reflect and commemorate the lives of service men and women of Australia and New Zealand. With ANZAC Day around the corner, we know many of our residents are eager to honour the occasion.

Despite restrictions in place to stop the spread of coronavirus there are still ways to commemorate. Victorian RSL’s are encouraging the community to #STANDTO. Residents can observe a minute’s silence in their driveway at 6.00 am on Saturday 25 April.

This act of solidarity will help send a powerful message across the country. While not being able to leave our homes, we are able to acknowledge the sacrifices our service people have made.

An app is being developed in time for Anzac Day, which will sound the Last Post and Reveille with a candle on the screen, representing the eternal flame. It is also expected that the ABC will broadcast the service live from Canberra.

We hope our community get behind this movement on an important day for Australia and New Zealand.
