The Factory is home to many of Casey’s diverse arts groups. From disability performing arts programs to dance, music tuition, theatre and music groups, there is something for everyone. Below you will find information for our current regular users. For further information on classes and memberships, please contact the groups individually.

The school holidays offer a chance for hirers to add additional activities during the quieter weeks of the year. The Factory welcomes the opportunity to work with hirers in delivering holiday activity programs. Past activities have included: circus arts, photography, radio broadcasting, sound recording, choir, singing, dance, audio engineering, video production, cartooning etc.
We welcome you to come and run your own workshops during the holidays.
The Factory has a primary and secondary school band program that operates between 9.00 am and 3.30 pm Monday - Friday. Our program is located in the Loud Band Room and is ideally suited to artists working towards an end of term concert or VCE project. Our competitive rates include PA system, guitars and amplifiers and drum kit. Please note that this program is subject to room availability.
BATS Theatre Company
BATS was formed in 1989, and since then has aimed to produce a variety of quality shows for local audiences. BATS produces several theatrical performances each year including youth shows, as well as other dramas and comedies.

Folk Lovers Academy Australia
Folk Lovers Academy provides Punjabi Folk Dances like Bhangra, Malwai Giddha, Jhoomer, Luddi, Sammi, Giddha, etc and Punjabi Folk Instruments classes to all age groups.
Nsync Dance Academy
Nsync Dance Academy offers fun and Energetic Dance Classes for all ages, girls and boys, taught by experienced and qualified teachers in a relaxed and non-competitive environment. Styles include hip hop, ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, acrobatics, conditioning and more. Free trials are available for all classes.
J Step Dance
J Step Dance Performing Arts is a locally based talent school offering classes in dance, drama and singing. Classes are available for 3-year-olds right up to adults, catering to a range of levels. Dance classes on offer are hip hop, breakdance, jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, jazz-funk, acrobats and cheerleading.
John has been a dancer and entertainer for nearly 20 years. He runs many dance classes around Melbourne each week. His program every Wednesday 10.00 am - 11.45 pm at The Factory in rehearsal Room 1. ‘John’s Discobility’ is a Rock ‘n’ Roll dance class, catering to people with a disability.
Highland Dance Speyside
Highland Dance Speyside is a group of traditional highland dancers who train for competition, participate in exams and concerts and develop physical fitness in a fun environment. We specialise in competitive dancing and are proud to have in our group many national and international championship titleholders. Dancers are trained in traditional highland as well as modern Celtic choreography.
Beginner dancers are welcome from 4 years of age.
Bhangra Groove is a Bhangra dance Academy that runs Bhangra and Bhangra Fusion classes for kids and Adults in Melbourne. Bhangra Groove continues to raise the platform of Bhangra through collaborating with the broader community to create awareness and opportunities for fusion, exploration and connection. Bhangra is a folk dance of the Punjab region in Northern India. An energetic Punjabi dance, bhangra originated with Punjab farmers as a cultural and communal celebration; its modern-day evolution has allowed bhangra to retain its traditional Indian roots, while broadening its reach to include integration into popular music and DJ’ing. Priyanka is the Founder and Artistic Director of Bhangra Groove, who not only loves Bhangra but also has passion for dance styles like Hip-hop, House and freestyle.
Te Hononga O Nga Iwi (THONI – tee honey)
We are a Kapa haka group (Maori performing arts group) based in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne. We are united together purely for the passion we have for our culture! A majority of our members have never done Kapa haka before. We relish in teaching our Maori people (and others alike) who have never had the opportunity to live and learn about our culture. We have an adults group every Friday night in Cranbourne and a children’s group every fortnight in Dandenong.
Bindaas Bollywood Dance Company
Bindaas Bollywood Dance Company specialises in presenting the art of Indian dance through classes and events. Classes are available for both children and adults seeking to improve their dance skills or simply maintain their fitness. To pay respect to the diverse Indian culture, classes will cover a vast range of choreography from the many sub-genres within Bollywood. Frequent performance opportunities are available.
Dasmesh Sports Club
Dasmesh Sports Club is a multifaceted sports club that participates in soccer (u10, u17 and open), netball (u13, u17 and open), Cricket, dance and cultural events. We hold weekly Bhangra classes for kids from 5 pm on Sunday at The Factory. Bhangra is an energetic Punjabi folk dance.

In Session Studios
In Session Studios provides private vocal, piano / keyboard, guitar, ukulele and music theory lessons to ages 4 years - adult. We pride ourselves on our high standards and personal approach. Our teachers are dedicated to their students no matter what their goal is. We believe music brings joy, builds confidence and assists development in all aspects of your life.

Flute and Piano Lessons
Awaken the delight of playing an instrument through lessons at my studio. Be encouraged, inspired and challenged in your performance journey.
Lessons at Mrs Mallen’s Music House will equip you to be a complete musician, not just proficient on your instrument. I cover, theory of music, history of music, aural training (which will include developing your voice), listening skills, practical techniques on your instrument, ensemble skills, performance skills and music appreciation. Additionally, if you are looking for an accompanist for examinations, I am able to accompany up to Grade 4 (AMEB)
I teach from 4 years old to adults, beginners or those more proficient. Come and learn with me so you can begin to hear and enjoy completely the sound you make.

The Creators Music Academy
Music Lessons - Flute, Piano, Clarinet and Saxophone
Learn the music you want to play with a friendly and engaging teacher at The Creators Music Academy.
We offer lessons in flute, piano, clarinet, saxophone and music theory, and love to include all sorts of games and songs from all genres. We also teach improvisation activities to help students of all ages and abilities discover the wonder of creating music.
All students are encouraged to make the most of our free trial lessons so they can get a feel for their chosen instrument. muSings Music Therapy
I provide person-centred and accessible services to individuals and groups who are seeking music therapy. As a registered music therapist and music and imagery therapist with extensive training and experience, I focus on working with individuals’ strengths, interests, and needs by supporting each person to meet their goals. Some of the different areas I support but am not limited to the following, so please get in touch to see how I can support you:

- Emotional and behavioural difficulties, including trauma recovery

The Cranbourne Chorale formed in 1991 and now rehearses every Wednesday at The Factory. They learn a wide range of repertoire and perform at many events throughout the year. New members are welcome.
Cranbourne Lions Concert Band
The Cranbourne Lions Concert Band is a community-run, not-for-profit group that has been working to benefit the people of Cranbourne and its outlying suburbs since 1986. We have over 30 members from diverse backgrounds who come together every Tuesday night to not only expand their musical abilities but to also have fun.
The band enjoys playing at an assortment of community and municipal functions throughout the year. They plan and host events for the local community including the CLCB Concert Band Festival and annual Musical Trivia Night.
They rehearse Tuesday evenings 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm and welcome new members of any age and experience.
