- Why attending kindergarten matters
Kindergarten is a special place where children learn through play. It helps children build important skills that will support them throughout their lives — at school and beyond.
At kindergarten, your child will:
- make friends and learn to play and socialise with others
- ask questions and explore new ideas
- solve problems and think creatively
- build confidence and resilience
- learn to be independent and develop self-help skills.
Our kindergartens offer:
- fun indoor and outdoor play-based learning
- small and large group activities
- quality spaces designed for learning and exploring
- caring and qualified educators
- healthy snack and mealtime routines
- safe and inclusive programs for all children
- support for school readiness
- cultural learning and child safety education
- child body-safety program as part of our commitment to child safety.
- Why choose a Casey-managed kindergarten?
The City of Casey has been running kindergartens for over 30 years and has more than 300 experienced educators across 43 local services.
Here’s what makes us special.

- We follow trusted learning frameworks and quality standards.
- Each kindergarten is tailored to its local community.
- Our educators plan activities that match your child’s interests and needs.

- Our values and philosophy
We believe:
- Children learn best when they feel safe, supported and curious.
- Learning happens everywhere — inside, outside, during play and mealtimes
- Families are partners in their child’s learning journey.
- Community connections help children feel they belong.
The City of Casey has consulted with children, families and educators to develop our kindergarten philosophy. It’s a framework based on a set of beliefs and values that guide how we engage and educate children in our kindergartens.
It’s built on five key principles:
- relationships
- ways of being
- connection
- quality learning
- leadership
