Registrations for 2026 and 2027 are now open.
- The six key dates for starting kindergarten
Feb - May Submit your expression of interest for kindergarten. From June Registration period opens for families who submitted an expression of interest and for new registrations. You’ll be asked to confirm or update your preferred kindergartens and nominate your preferred sessions. From August Kindergarten offers begin. Nov - Dec Enrolment into kindergarten — families finalise enrolments with their allocated service. End of January Kindergarten program begins for the new school year. - Age requirements and when to register
A child is eligible to attend the 3-year-old kindergarten program only after they turn three.
Child's date of birth 3-year-old eligible year 4-year-old eligible year 1 May 2021 – 30 April 2022 - 2026 1 May 2022 – 30 April 2023 2026 2027 1 May 2023 – 30 April 2024 2027 2028 You can register for the current year until October. These registrations are marked as late, but your child will still be considered in future offer rounds.
Registrations for next year open in June. If you did not complete an Expression of Interest, you can still register.
- Registrations received before offers begin will be considered in the first round.
- Registrations received after offers begin will be considered in subsequent rounds.
- Choose a kindergarten
If you’d like to visit a kindergarten before deciding, contact the kindergarten directly to book a visit.

You can list up to 15 session preferences in your registration.
Keep in mind:
- Kindergarten is not compulsory
- List all sessions you are willing to consider at all of your preferred kindergartens
- Listing only one kindergarten does not make it more likely to get a place
- Attendance at a particular kindergarten does not guarantee enrolment at a specific school
- Attending a 3-year-old kindergarten within a City of Casey CRES, does not guarantee a 4-year-old place at the same kindergarten.

The last date to submit a registration for your child to be included in the final round of offers for 2026 is 23rd October 2026.
Submitting a Registration for the current year
With a valid email address, you can register your child for free through our online system, EnrolNow.
- A separate online form must be completed for 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten
- We suggest that, when submitting the registration, you choose:
- More than one session at the same kindergarten and/or
- More than one session at different kindergartens
Families will be asked whether they are willing to consider alternate sessions or kindergartens. If families say they will consider alternates and there are no vacancies at your preferred kindergarten/s, you may be offered different days, times, or locations from what you provided.
Documents required
Proof of birth (passport, birth certificate, Medicare Immunisation History Statement, or access your digital birth certificate online)
Concession card (if you have one)
Refugee/Asylum Seeker or Humanitarian Visa (if this applies to your family)
Support letter for additional needs (if this applies to your child).

Submitting a registration
With a valid email address, you can register your child for free through our online system EnrolNow.
If you have submitted an expression of interest, we will email you a link in June to complete your child’s registration once the timetable is available.
If you have not submitted an expression of interest, you can register your child for kindergarten online from June of the year before your child will attend.
A separate online form must be completed for 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten
We suggest when submitting the registration that you choose:
more than one session at the same kindergarten and/or
more than one session at different kindergartens.
Documents required
Proof of birth: one of the following: passport, birth certificate, medicare immunisation history statement, or access your digital birth certificate online.
Current proof of address: one of the following: valid driver’s licence, rates notice within 12 months, phone bill or utilities bill within the last 3 months)
Additional supporting documents if this applies to you
- Concession card (if you have one), not a medicare card
- Refugee or humanitarian Visa (if this applies to your family)
- Support letter for additional needs/complex medical needs (if this applies to you or your child).

What happens once you register your child?
We will notify you by email once we have reviewed your registration and added your child to the waiting list.
Your child will then be considered in future offer rounds. For more information on 2026 offers, see 2026 Offers.

To update your information, email kinderenrolment@casey.vic.gov.au with:
- your child’s full name
- your child's date of birth
- the details you want to update.
