City of Casey, Youth Services are committed to supporting the community services sector by providing meaningful placement opportunities in Youth Services.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions impacting service delivery, we are currently considering service capacity to accommodate the placement of students in 2022.
Student placements offered by the City of Casey are an official process and are used by tertiary organisations as part of a course.
Student placements are a formal agreement between the City of Casey and a tertiary education.
Key information
Students who can apply for a Tertiary Student Placement should be undertaking a tertiary or TAFE course in Youth Work, Community Services, Community Development or a related field.
How placement requests are assessed
Requests for student placements at the City of Casey will be assessed by:
- How relevant the student's coursework and placement requirements are to our Youth Services Programming
- Capacity of Youth Services to undertake placements
We assess all requests on a case by case basis. No preference is given to any particular tertiary institution or course of study.
On receiving your response we will consider the application for interview. Due to a high volume of applications received, we are unable to contact each applicant individually regarding the status of their application.
