Container refund drop-off locations
Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic) is a State Government initiative. You can earn 1 for each eligible drink you return. Multiple drop-off locations are available across the City of Casey. They include self-serve vending machines, drive-through sites, and over-the-counter facilities.
Council-run drop-off location
The City of Casey also has one council community facility operating over-the-counter drop-off services:
- Lynbrook Community Centre
2 Harris Street, Lynbrook
Council officers at these locations will take 30-100 acceptable containers over the counter. Please count the items before arriving. You will need to have a registered account with CDS Vic East so we can process the transaction immediately and Return Payment to you electronically. Alternatively, you can donate the payment to the charity of your choice that is registered with the program.
The community facility drop-off sites support in-house programs. Each centre will raise funds for improvements or events.
Tips for using the program
- Do not crush your cans or bottles
- Ensure they are empty, with lids on and the barcode in place
- Visit the centre during opening hours
