Request replacement tags
Registered pets must always wear their tags for identification if lost. A fine applies if your pet is found without a tag.
Registration tags are for the life of your pet while registered in Casey. We will replace lost or broken tags free of charge, and you can order them online.
Update your pet registration when moving from another council
Update your pet's details if any of the following have changed. In most cases, this is free.
- If you have moved and your pet is registered with another council
- Your pet is deceased
- You have recently desexed your pet
- You have received pension concessions

Note: In rare instances, a free transfer may not be possible.
- Your pet was registered in another state.
- You cannot provide proof of payment for the current registration.
- Transfers between 1 January and 10 April.

Change of owner within Casey
There is no charge to transfer ownership of a Casey-registered pet if the new owner is also a Casey resident. Complete the Transfer pet ownership form below and email it back.
Transfer pet registration to another pet
You can transfer the remaining portion of a deceased pet's registration to another animal. The transfer of registration will incur a $9 government levy fee.
- If your pet dies before 10 June, you can transfer 100% of the fees.
- If your pet dies between 10 June and 10 October, you can transfer 50% of the fees.
