Casey offers an incredible planning experience with a great diversity of land uses – from the Dandenong Ranges' foothills to Tooradin's coastal areas.

The scope of work is varied, with opportunities to work in non-urban and urban developments, including multi-unit developments, shopping centre redevelopments, office space and industrial developments.

Town Planning is divided into two distinct departments – Established and Growth Areas, offering various opportunities for Statutory and Strategic Planners at varying levels.

Our team’s roles are structured in a way that provides our employees with exposure to a variety of responsibilities, keeping the work interesting while developing a holistic understanding of the services we offer our community.

As one of Victoria's fastest-growing regions, there is also potential to be involved in planning new suburbs and communities. It is our view that Planners who work in growth area councils develop effective skills in agility, communication, and innovation. With high levels of delegated decision-making responsibility, responding to and adapting to diverse experiences positions them well for future career options.

As part of the many benefits offered by the City of Casey, we work in a genuine hybrid, activity-based work environment which is guided by our peer-developed Team Agreement, enabling us to work flexibly and do our best work.
