Submit a public question - form

  • A maximum of two (2) questions per person may be submitted at each Council meeting.
  • Questions must be submitted prior to 10.00am the day before an Ordinary Council meeting.
  • Questions must not exceed 80 words in length.
  • Please read the guidance criteria regarding public question time in Clause 65 of the Governance Rules prior to submitting your question/s. Questions that do not meet the criteria will not be accepted or answered.
  • For any person or representative who submits a public question:
    • If they are in the gallery (registration required, see below), the Chair will read out their name and the response due to be read;
    • If they are not in the gallery, the Chair will not read the question and response, however, will note that the question will be recorded in the minutes of the Council Meeting, together with a copy of the written response.
  • Following the meeting, a link to the copy of the minutes will be emailed to you.
  • If you want to attend a Council Meeting, you must register. Registrations open on the Thursday before the meeting and must be made by 10 am Tuesday the day of the meeting. Registrations open on the Thursday before the next meeting. Register to attend a Council meeting | City of Casey

    Please note: Registrations are limited to 80 people.

    Our top priority is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those who attend Council Meetings. This is why we have introduced a registration and identification check process for anyone attending a Council Meeting in person.

    The registration process helps ensure we can provide a safe and secure environment and allows Council to conduct an orderly meeting.
