The City of Casey is inviting the community to vote for their favourite food businesses in the Casey’s Favourite Flavours competition, with five lucky voters set to win a $250 EFTPOS gift cards.
Whether it’s your Friday night pizza, your go-to butter chicken or the kebab you grab after sport, most locals have a favourite meal made by a Casey food business. Now it’s time to give those businesses the recognition they deserve.
From 6 July to 16 August, people can vote for their favourite food business in the City of Casey, across one or all six mouth-watering categories:
- Favourite Pie
- Favourite Curry
- Favourite Pizza
- Favourite Parma
- Favourite Kebab
- Favourite Dumplings.
The business with the most votes in each category will be crowned a Casey’s Favourite Flavour.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen encouraged the community to show their appreciation for the businesses that have become part of their everyday lives.
“Food has a special way of bringing people together and our local food businesses are part of so many moments that connect our community, Casey’s Favourite Flavours is an opportunity to recognise the businesses that serve our community with pride and passion," he said.
From family-run favourites to neighbourhood hidden gems to long-time favourites, this is a chance to celebrate the flavours, cultures and people that make Casey’s food scene of the most diverse and vibrant in the state. So, if a locally made pie, curry, pizza, dumpling, kebab or parma has made your day, now is the perfect time to return the favour."
