Update on planning application for warehouses in Hampton Park

Casey logo

Council acknowledges there is community interest in a planning permit application (PA2604605) for seven warehouses at 825 South Gippsland Highway, Hampton Park.

The application has been lodged with the Victorian Government’s Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) through the Development Facilitation Program. That means, Council is not the responsible authority or decision maker for this process.

The application has now appeared on DTP’s website as a received application.

Public notice and community submissions

Council is currently seeking clarification from the State Government about the public notice requirements for this application and whether formal community submissions will be invited as part of the process. We will provide further information when it becomes available.

Council’s role

Council officers will review the application and provide feedback to DTP for consideration as part of the State Government’s assessment process.

Council’s role is to provide referral advice only; the final decision rests with DTP as the responsible authority.

Council’s review will consider matters including compliance with the Hampton Park Hill Development Plan which applies to this site, relevant planning policies, traffic and transport impact, infrastructure provision and how the proposal responds to environmental and local amenity considerations.

More information

Further information about the application is available on DTP’s website.

As DTP is the responsible authority for this application, enquiries about the assessment process should be directed to DTP.
