Council invites feedback on active recreation plans for Narre Warren South

Common

The City of Casey is planning improvements to local open spaces and wants to hear from the Narre Warren South community.

Council is seeking input from residents to improve active recreation and social spaces at The Common Reserve and Trenton Court.

Council is proposing two possible approaches for community consideration:

1. Relocating the basketball court from Trenton Court to The Common Reserve, integrating it with existing play and social spaces, and transforming the Trenton Court site into a landscaped social space.

2. Exploring alternative options for active recreation at The Common Reserve, informed by community preferences.

Casuarina Ward Councillor Kim Ross said community feedback would play a key role in shaping the future design and construction of the areas.

“We want the community to tell us which active recreation elements are most valued at The Common Reserve — whether that’s a basketball court, multi‑use court, fitness equipment or spaces designed specifically for young people,” she said.

“We’re also seeking clear feedback on whether a basketball court at The Common Reserve is supported, and if relocating the existing court is the right option.”

Consultation is now open and will close on Wednesday 10 June. For more information and to have your say, visit https://conversations.casey.vic.gov.au/common-reserve-and-trenton-court-active-recreation-upgrade
