Celebrate NAIDOC week 2026 at Bunjil Place

ACA

Following the success of the City of Casey’s National Reconciliation Week event All In, at Bunjil Place last month, the community is invited to continue the conversation and celebration during NAIDOC Week 2026.

Building on this spirit of reconciliation and community connection, Bunjil Place is pleased to present two special NAIDOC Week performances in July.

On Saturday 4 July, acclaimed musicians Mark Atkins and Erkki Veltheim bring Mungangga Garlagula (Yarning by the Fire) to the stage. A deeply immersive collaboration of music, sound and storytelling, inspired by the landscapes of Western Australia. The performance combines storytelling with a live soundtrack to create a moving journey of connection to Country, culture and place.

Audiences are invited to pay what they feel to attend the performance.

Then of Wednesday 8 July, get ready for some huge laughs at the Aboriginal Comedy Allstars, starring some of Australia’s leading First Nations comedians including Kevin Kropinyen, Andy Saunders, Elaine Crombie, Sean Choolburra and more.

Following sold-out season across Australia and the UK, the stand-up comedy showcase promises a night of belly laughs, storytelling and sharp observations.

City of Casey Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen said the performances continue Casey’s commitment to creating opportunities for the community to engage with First Nations culture, voices and stories.

“We are proud to continue celebrating and recognising First Nations culture and storytelling through these unique NAIDOC Week performances at Bunjil Place. These shows invite our community to come together to listen, learn, reflect and celebrate through music, storytelling and laugher," he said.
