Bunjil Place Plaza brings community together for a spring of sport

GF

Football fans, motorsport enthusiasts, friends and families are invited to come together at Bunjil Place Plaza this Spring as Bunjil Place broadcasts some of Australia's biggest sporting events live on the outdoor screen.

Following the success of the FIFA World Cup screenings earlier this year, which brought residents together to share in the excitement of the world's biggest football tournament, Bunjil Place is once again transforming into a community viewing destination for major sporting events.

Over three weekends, visitors can enjoy live broadcasts of the AFL Grand Final, NRL Grand Final and the Australian MotoGP Grand Prix, all from the heart of Casey's cultural precinct.

City of Casey Mayor Cr Michelle Crowther said the screenings would build on the success of the FIFA World Cup broadcasts and create more opportunities for the community to connect.

"The FIFA World Cup screenings showed just how powerful sport can be in bringing people together. We saw our community gather at Bunjil Place Plaza to share the excitement, celebrate great sporting moments and connect with one another," she said.

“Bunjil Place is once again welcoming the community to come together and watch major sporting events in a shared viewing environment.”

Residents are encouraged to bring a picnic rug or folding chair, settle in with family and friends, and enjoy the atmosphere as the Plaza becomes Casey’s outdoor sports viewing hub.

The Bunjil Place Plaza is an alcohol-free screening area, and visitors are asked to follow all directions from staff and security.
