Biodiversity Month Photo Competition

September is Biodiversity Month and to celebrate we are running a photo competition to celebrate and showcase our natural environment.

Biodiversity is abundant in Casey from our bushland reserves to coastal shores. During September there are wildflowers blooming, migratory birds returning, and reptiles are starting to come out in search of food.

So, if you have taken, or can safely take, photos that capture the biodiversity in the City of Casey – the ecosystems, native plants, animals and micro-organisms in your local environment—then we want to see them, regardless of your age or your experience.

There are some great prizes available, as well as the chance for your photo to feature in exhibitions throughout the City of Casey.

Prizes are:

  • Open First prize – 3hr Dolphin and Whale Wildlife Cruise for 2 adults valued at $220.00
  • Open Second prize – 2hr Philip Island Seal Cruise for 2 adults valued at $176.00
  • Under 16 First prize – Moonlit Sanctuary Night tour family pass (2A + 2C) valued at $165.00
  • Under 16 Second prize – Moonlit Sanctuary family day pass (2A + 2C) valued at $70.00
