The City of Casey adopted the 2025/26 Annual Report at the Council Meeting on Tuesday 20 October, providing the community with a comprehensive overview of the organisation’s performance over the past 12 months.
The report details Council’s progress against the Council Plan priorities and acknowledges the achievements and challenges of the past year.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Michelle Crowther said the Annual Report was an important way that Council demonstrated the breadth of work undertaken across the organisation and transparently accounts for its performance.
“It is a pleasure to reflect on the achievements of the past year – the first full year in office for Councillors and the first year of the new Council Plan developed in collaboration with our local community,” Cr Crowther said.
“As part of our annual Capital Works program, we have invested in community assets and infrastructure, while also maintaining a high standard of service delivery for residents who rely on us every week for services like road and footpath maintenance, waste collection, school crossings and early years services.
“I am also proud of our advocacy efforts to the State and Federal Governments, which have led to commitments for key projects in our city. This work is continuing as we head towards the Victorian State Election in November.
“Through Council’s own grants programs, we have been able to support our local community with a total of $1,944,380 in grants, distributed to 320 different community groups, artists and organisations.
“It is especially rewarding to look back on the many community events, programs and celebrations that have taken place throughout the year. These moments are a valuable reminder of why we invest in community spaces and the programs that help our community thrive.”
