Events Calendar Terms and Conditions
1. Selection Criteria
All event listings must be reviewed by the City of Casey before being added to the Events Calendar. To be considered, your event or activity must meet the following criteria:
- It must take place within the City of Casey.
- It must fit into one of our categories:
- Either a one-time Event
- Or a recurring Other Ongoing Activity (see definitions below)
- If the activity is an Event, it must have been assessed through the Event Approval Application Process.
- The organiser must either be based in the City of Casey or deliver services that directly benefit Casey residents.
- The organiser must be:
- A not-for-profit group, or
- Community-focused
- Running a major event or activity that provides social, cultural, or economic benefits.
- The event or activity must be open and accessible to all members of the community.
2. Submission Requirements
- Event listings must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the preferred date for the listing to go live, to allow time for review and processing.
- Listings will be listed for a maximum of 4 weeks before the event.
- Any images attached with the calendar entry will be considered at the discretion of Council officers and will be general in nature and in line with the calendar requirements.

3. Council Rights
The City of Casey has the right to:
- Remove any listing we consider inappropriate.
- Exclude any applications deemed inappropriate or sensitive in nature.
4. What We Won’t List
We do not list events or activities that:
- Promote the event sponsorship/partnership
- Contain offensive, political, or discriminatory content
- Promote a political agenda, or are
- Inconsistent with Council values, strategies, or policies.

Definitions
Calendar: refers to the online Calendar of Events on the City of Casey Website.
Event: A planned gathering at a public or private venue within the municipality that is open to the public or a specific group, such as a festival, market, concert, community celebration, fundraiser, or sports event.
Other Ongoing Activity (Activity): A regular or informal community-based gathering that doesn’t qualify as a formal event but still benefits the community — like a weekly playgroup, walking club, or social meetups.
