Explore the Open Studios Weekend 2026

Take a free, self-guided tour through the studios, workshops, galleries and gardens of an array of talented artists and makers hailing from across the south east region. 

This is a unique opportunity to witness live demonstrations, actively engage in artistic endeavours, enrich your personal collection with one-of-a-kind and environmentally conscious locally crafted artworks, or even enrol in creative workshops that ignite your imagination.

Gain an insight into the spaces who will be opening their doors to the public for the Open Studios Weekend 2026. Artworks will be presented by our incredibly talented and diverse south-east artists, creatives and makers; this is an opportunity to start plotting your road trip.

Ashini Kulatunge Pop Up Studio & Drop In Activity

Bunjil Place, Customer Service Centre
Open Studios Weekend 10:00am – 4:00pm each day

Visit emerging mixed-media artist Ashini Kulatunge in her pop-up studio at Bunjil Place. Discover her whimsically bold work that uses various mediums such as gouache, pencils, crayons and paper art. With the use of brilliant colours, Ashini’s creations pull at your inner child, exposing you to an explosion of colour. Come meet the artist to gain a better understanding of her processes and influences, as she shares some of her newest works.

You can also enjoy the opportunity for a free, drop-in paper art activity inspired by bold colours, whimsical creatures and your imagination. Explore with collage and clay as Ashini shares tips, tricks and guidance to get the most out of your creation.

Garage 35 Art Studio 

35F Buckleys Lane, Noble Park

Garage35 Art Studio is a not-for-profit co-operative that is a shared creative space for artists in the south-east. Through community art projects, workshops, and collaborative events, Garage 35 fosters inclusivity, cultural expression, and a strong sense of belonging in the local arts scene.

Heather Wilson Ceramics

Heather is a ceramic artist with many years’ experience who specializes in animals and dragons. Watch a piece being created, see sculptures in the garden or ask questions about kilns and firing. Purchase a sculpture or special pot for a plant.

Ashini Kulatunge 

Bunjil Place - 2 Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren

Ashini Kulatunge is an emerging mixed media artist who enjoys the slow and surprising process of using unerasable materials. Her work can be described as whimsically bold. With use of brilliant colours, Ashini’s creations pull at your inner child exposing you to an explosion of colour.

Emerging Artist Hub

Meet the new resident artists of the Hub as they open their studios to visitors for the first time. See artworks in progress, learn about different creative practices, and experience the energy of a collaborative space in motion. Located in the newly renovated historic Narre Warren Mechanics Institute Hall, the hub celebrates experimentation, connection, and community.

Step into the studio of Criss Chaney and explore a colourful, feminist world combining expressive painting, graffiti-inspired techniques, collage, and bold typography to create layered artworks exploring identity, power, and vulnerability.

South Eastern Contemporary Art Network (SECAN) (Saturday only) 

Gate 6 Gallery & Studio

SECAN is a dynamic collective of local contemporary artists. Members include emerging, mid-career and professional artists working across a diverse range of styles and mediums, including painting, drawing, printmaking, fibre art, sculpture, mixed media, glass and more.

Berwick District Woodworkers Club 

Hayshed at the Old Cheese Factory
34 Homestead Road, Berwick

A diverse and inclusive club that welcomes new members, no matter what their woodworking skill levels are. The club workshop, is equipped with a wide range of tools and machinery enabling furniture making, scroll saw and bandsaw work, woodturning, carving, and more.

The artists' society encourages local emerging, professional and hobby artists, and members of the public to network, develop their skills and contribute to art within the community. Visit the studio to see a variety of mediums on display and artists demonstrating their skills.

Leanne’s light filled studio and gallery is situated amongst the trees on her country property in Toomuc Valley. With its views and tranquil atmosphere, this studio is a must see. Visit to admire Leanne’s paintings and magical jewellery creations by her daughter Teshayla.

Aruanda Farm (Sunday only)

537 Gembrook Road Pakenham Upper

Aruanda is a hidden forest oasis and a multi-level ecosystem, re-created in harmony with nature by the artist couple who live there: Ukrainian born Natalia Pedan specialising in luminous UV reactive artworks and Brazilian Rodrigo Petrosky, a mixed media 3D artist.
