The Berwick Woodies are best known in our local community for making approximately 1,000 wooden toys each year for local charities to distribute to needy families. However, our members undertake a wide variety of other woodworking activities throughout the year, and our annual “Expo” is an opportunity to display their work, ranging from beginners to national award winners. This year is the 40th anniversary of our club, and to mark the occasion, we will simultaneously host the biennial exhibition of the Australian Scroll Saw Network in the Hayshed Studio, adjacent to our clubrooms in the grounds of The Old Cheese Factory. As well as displaying our work, much of which will be available for sale, the Expo will include a variety of woodworking demonstrations, timber sales, chainsaw artist, and on the Saturday, our regular monthly Farmers Market will also be held between 8.00am and noon opposite the clubrooms. A raffle and lucky dip, as well as a kids corner, will also help to make this free event an occasion not to be missed.
