Casey's skate park
The City of Casey’s iconic skate park, The Shed, located at Cranbourne East is the biggest indoor skate facility in the southern hemisphere.
In developing The Shed, Council’s vision was to build a facility for action sports that offers an exciting, safe and good value venue for all ability levels of participants in skate, BMX, in-line and scooters.
Council constructed The Shed with assistance and advice from international professional skaters including Shane Serena, who skated at the original facility in the 1990s, Jeff Williams, Mike Daly, Nathan Beck, Bart Carnes and Andrew Mitchell.
The facility is operated on behalf of Council by ‘Skate Parks Australia’ involving many of the key staff who were previously involved with the development and operation of The Monster, Sydney’s largest indoor skate park at Olympic Park.
The Shed has the ultimate ramp offering in Australia including:
- Vert ramp
- Street area - the largest in Australia
- Foam pit
- Resi ramp
The facility also has a skate shop and raised spectator area with tables and chairs, and offers a range of workshops, clinics and even parties.
