Amendment C253Case

Where the Amendment Applies 

  • Baxter – Tooradin Road at Fisheries Road, Cannons Creek;
  • Thompson Road (Thompsons Road) and Berwick – Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne North and Clyde North;
  • Berwick – Cranbourne Road (Clyde Road) between Berwick – Beaconsfield Road (Princes Highway) and Princes Freeway, Berwick; and
  • Hall Road between Western Port highway (Dandenong – Hastings Road) and Cranbourne –Frankston Road, Cranbourne West.

Changes to the Casey Planning Scheme 

The amendment rezones various parcels of land in the City of Casey which will be declared or have been declared as arterial road under the Road Management Act 2004 to the Road Zone – Category 1 (RDZ1) and will delete Public Acquisition Overlay provisions.

Specifically, this amendment:

  • Rezones land declared Baxter – Tooradin Road at Fisheries Road, Cannon Creek from Green Wedge Zone – Schedule 5 (GWZ5) to RDZ1 and deletes redundant PAO1;
  • Rezones land which will be declared as Thompson Road and Berwick – Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne North and Clyde North from Urban Growth Zone – Schedule 5 (UGZ5) to RDZ1 and deletes redundant and no longer required PAO1 and PAO3;
  • Rezones land declared as Berwick – Cranbourne Road (Clyde Road) between Berwick –Beaconsfield Road (Princes Highway) and Princes Freeway, Berwick from Commercial 2 Zone (C2Z), Public Use Zone – Transport (PUZ4), Public Park and Recreation Zone (PPRZ), Mixed Use Zone (MUZ), Public Use Zone – Service and Utility (PUZ1) and Public Use Zone – Education (PUZ2) to RDZ1 and deletes redundant PAO1; and
  • Rezones land declared as Hall Road between Westernport Highway (Dandenong – Hastings Road) from Urban Growth Zone – Schedule 1 (UGZ1) and Road Zone – Category 2 (RDZ2) to RDZ1 and deletes redundant PAO1 and PAO3.

Ministerial Approval 

The Minister for Planning has approved Planning Scheme Amendment C253Case to the Casey Planning Scheme. 

The Amendment came into operation when it was published in the Government Gazette on 13 June 2019.
