Volunteer with Casey

If you are looking for a rewarding opportunity to help Casey residents maintain their independence and connect them with the wider community, then why not apply to become a volunteer with our community care team.

We currently have vacancies in the following programs:

  • Volunteer Transport Program: the program assists Casey residents to maintain their independence when there are no other, or limited transport options available to them. Volunteers use their own vehicle to transport our clients from their homes to health and medical appointments.
  • Meals Service: volunteers use their own vehicles to collect meals from Casey’s meals kitchens in Narre Warren or Cranbourne and deliver the meals to our clients.
  • Community Transport: volunteers drive minibuses for Casey community groups to various locations within Casey or to popular destinations in neighbouring municipalities.

You can volunteer from a few hours a month to several times a week. However, you must be willing to commit to volunteer for a minimum of six months.

Training and support is provided, including orientation and on-the-job training, and you will also be reimbursed for some out-of-pocket expenses.

Successful applicants must have comprehensive car insurance cover for your vehicle and be prepared to undergo extensive checks to ensure suitability.

If you would like to apply, please email volunteerscommunitycare@casey.vic.gov.au
