Narre Warren’s Bunjil Place will play host to an amazing musical-theatre treat this Thursday 5 September, when over 200 local students compete in the annual Schools on Stage extravaganza. Joining them on stage will be one of Australia's most versatile and much-loved entertainers: Tim Campbell.

The event will entertain audiences with a non-stop musical rollercoaster ride. Performances will be accompanied by the magic that only a live orchestra can bring.

The students will strive to do their best as they perform well-loved musical theatre show tunes on the big stage. Performers will compete to discover which local school will be crowned the 2019 Schools on Stage champion.

City of Casey Mayor Cr Amanda Stapledon commented that Schools on Stage is a fantastic celebration to highlight the performing arts talents of Casey’s young people.

“It is an exciting competition but, more importantly, the event encourages our young people to take part in extra-curricular activities, strengthening their connection to the school community, and helping them to make new friends and build important skills,” she said.

“We’re so honoured to welcome Tim Campbell to the Bunjil Place Theatre stage again; he’s one of Australia’s most versatile and much-loved entertainers. From his starring role on ‘Home and Away’ to lead roles on stage in ‘Wicked’, ‘Rent’ and ‘Shout!’, Tim is certainly a star of both stage and screen.”

When he’s not ‘Dancing with the Stars’ or entertaining on Channel 9’s ‘Carols by Candlelight’, Tim is performing classic ‘70s and ‘80s dance floor hits with his band. He will also be the star act for the Casey Cardinia Foundation’s Annual Charity Dinner being held on Friday 11 October.

Don’t miss Tim and all the Schools on Stage action this Thursday 5 September 2019. For more information and bookings, please visit the Bunjil Place website.
