Summer of Footy at Casey Fields

The Melbourne Football Club (MFC) has a whole summer of footy fun lined up at Casey Fields! 

From a free Junior Clinic to AFLW games, there’s plenty of opportunities to join the Dees’ at Casey’s premier sporting precinct for some family fun this summer.

The City of Casey and MFC proudly formed a 30-year partnership in 2009 and since then have been working together to promote and engage the community in sport, create talent pathways and provide unique opportunities for residents.

Upcoming MFC events at Casey Fields include:

AFLW Junior Clinic  

Join the Melbourne Football Club’s women’s team for a FREE footy clinic ahead of their AFLW season on Saturday 12 January 2019, from 11.15 am – 12.30 pm. 

The clinic is aimed at boys and girls aged 5–12 years, where they’ll learn some new footy skills and have a whole lot of footy fun.

There will be giveaways, activities for kids, Daisy the mascot in attendance, player autograph signings and much more.

Come early and watch the AFLW team train from 9.00 am to 11.15 am. Before the clinic, there will also be a practice match between Melbourne’s AFLW and VFLW side in preparation for the 2019 season.

Melbourne AFLW Season Games at Casey Fields 

The Dees’ women’s team have three home games at Casey Fields as part of their AFLW season. 

With free entry, plenty of kids’ activities and prizes to be won, head along and cheer on Casey’s affiliated club for a great afternoon out. 

  • Melbourne v Fremantle – Sunday 3 February, 3.05 pm
  • Melbourne v North Melbourne – Sunday 24 February, 4.05 pm
  • Melbourne v Adelaide – Saturday 16 March, 4.45 pm

AFL JLT Community Series

See the Dees’ take on the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields, in week two of the AFL JLT Community Series. 

On the back of a successful 2018, this is a great opportunity to see how the boys are looking ahead of the 2019 AFL season.
