We look forward to hearing your feedback!
What kind of feedback/ideas do I provide?
You don't need to be a technology or data expert to give feedback.
Simply consider how technology, data or innovation could be harnessed to overcome a challenge or unlock new opportunities.
You might like to get inspiration from some Smart City projects that are already ou in the community.
Or you may like to think about how you have be utilising or adapting technology to overcome recent barriers due to physical distancing restrictions.
What is a Smart City?
Whether it's monitoring or reducing energy usage in public facilities, improving public bin collection processors or monitoring and responding to flood prone areas, Smart Cities uses technology and data to empower communities with information that allows them to make better decisions.
Casey already has a range of Smart City infrastructure including digitally connected street furniture that provides free WiFi to people using the space, Smart BBQ's that monitor usage and notify Council when it is in need of repairs and smart parking sensors that help community members find the find the best parking space for their needs.
The Smart City strategy will build on Casey's current Smart City infrastructure and coordinate future initiatives that encourage innovation and collaboration.
