Branch Out: Care for the Rare Walk

Learn how Royal Botanic Gardens care for their plants!

Australia’s most threatened native plants need our help to survive current and future environmental challenges. Go behind the scenes as you join Cranbourne Gardens’ Manager of Horticulture, John Arnott and Nursery Team Leader, Mandy Thomson to learn about rare plant propagation and production. Hear about the work Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria does beyond the garden gate supporting regional botanic gardens to Care for the Rare. Then, venture through the Nursery and Eucalypt Walk where John will share some of his favourite conservation and cultivation success stories in the Australian Garden. Presented as part of the National Sustainable Living Festival 2021.

The session goes for 1.5 hours, meet outside the Visitor Centre
