Kindergarten fees

Kindergarten term fees

The fees for 2019 for each child attending a City of Casey kindergarten are $440 per term. A child can attend up to 15 hours of kindergarten per week. There are 4 terms in the kindergarten year.

All your fees go towards maintaining and operating the kindergarten. The fees cover the gap between the cost to run the kindergarten and funding from the State Government. Because funding changes every year, the fees we charge for kindergarten may also change.

Payment Options for Term Fees

Kindergarten term fees are compulsory and payable in advance, prior to the commencement of each term.

Families have two options to pay their fees:

  • Receive an invoice for term fees, payable in full by the invoice due date
This is the default option and families will be invoiced for term fees unless they have nominated the direct debit option. Payment is required by the invoice due date.

First term invoices will be sent late in the year, prior to the year of your child’s attendance. See further below for acceptable payment methods.

  • Sign up for direct debit
Families will receive a direct debit request form along with their first term invoice. Families can select to pay their kindergarten fees by direct debit, with fortnightly payments being debited from their nominated account.

Kindergarten fees must be received by their due date to ensure your child can attend kindergarten.

Kindergarten Fee Subsidy (KFS)

Some families may be exempt from kindergarten fees under the Kindergarten Fee Subsidy. If your child is eligible for the Kindergarten Fee Subsidy, they are eligible to attend up to 15 hours of kindergarten.

The Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) has the most up-to-date KFS eligibility criteria.

How to receive the subsidy

Your kindergarten service will apply for the kindergarten fee subsidy on your behalf. You must provide us with your proof of eligibility by:

Child Care Subsidy

On 2 July 2018, the Child Care Subsidy replaced the Child Care Benefit. Centrelink will not provide child care assistance for children attending kindergarten programs after this date.

You can still claim for Registered care that is provided before 2 July 2018, if you lodge your claim within 12 months from the date the care was provided.

The Department of Human Services has more information about the Child Care Subsidy eligibility criteria.

Twin discount

In 2019, the fees for twin siblings are:

  • $440 for the first child
  • $308 for the second child

If you have triplets or more, you will qualify for the Kindergarten Fee Subsidy.

Payment Methods

You can pay your term fees online. Please have your reference number handy.

If you don't wish to pay online, you can pay via:
