Request to Amend an Application for Planning Permit (prior to and after advertising)

Use this form to amend an application for planning permit you have lodged but that has not yet been granted. You can make amendments where a decision of the application has not yet been made by the responsible authority. Amendments are made under Section 50 or Section 57A of the Planning & Environment Act 1987.

Revised plans must be of the same scale and type as those originally submitted for the Planning Application, and all changes should be clearly highlighted.

Amend your application

Amend a Planning Permit

Use this form to make an amendment to an existing (granted) permit which may alter the use and/or development allowed by the permit. The information needed on the Application to Amend a Planning Permit form is required under Section 72 of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and regulation 16 of the Planning and Environment Regulations 2005.

A permit issued by the Minister under Division 6 cannot be amended using the form. This can be considered as an application for an amendment to the Minister under Division 6 of the Act (section 97I).

Request for Secondary Consent

Use this form for minor amendments to your endorsed plans or to gain written consent from the Responsible Authority for a variation of the requirement(s) within a condition of an existing Planning Permit. If your permit was determined by VCAT please contact our planners before completing this form.

Extension of Time to Planning Permit

Use this form to apply for an extension of time in which to commence or complete a development and/or use allowed by an existing Planning Permit under Section 69 of the Planning & Environment Act 1987.

Objection to a Planning Permit

Use Objection to a Planning Permit form (235kb) to object to a planning permit application being advertised if you believe that you may be affected by the granting of the permit.

Submission of plans to comply with a permit condition 

You can submit plans when they need to be changed in accordance with any condition of a planning permit already issued by Council. Plans should be submitted online/electronically.

Request for Copies of Objection Submissions

Use the Request for Copies of Objection Submissions form (70kb) to request copies of objections to a planning permit application or submissions to a planning scheme amendment request. The advertising period must be completed before this can occur.

Consent to Demolish (Section 29A) Form A

A Demolition Consent (Section 29A of the Building Act 1993) may be required from the Planning department prior to a building permit for demolition being issued.

Copies of Planning Permits 

You can can request copies of planning permits using the Planning Permit Information Request form. You must be the current owner, the draftsperson or the original applicant, or provide written consent from one of them.
