Apply for a land information certificate

You will need a Land Information Certificate (LIC) to sell a property or refinance. The certificate provides information on matters affecting the property, made under the Local Government Act(s) or a Council local law.

The contents of a Land Information Certificate include:

  • the total rate amount for the current financial year
  • outstanding rates as of the date of the certificate
  • any interest due
  • information about the property's value.

The cost of obtaining a Land Information Certificate is $31.40, and it will be emailed to you within 3 working days.

In urgent cases, we can send you the certificate within 24 hours for $90.75.
