About our kindergartens

Kindergarten closures due to coronavirus

The Prime Minister has announced the temporary closure of community centres to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Due to this advice, all City of Casey kindergartens will be closed until further notice from 5pm Wednesday 25 March 2020.

Why kindergarten is important

Kindergarten is an important step in your child's growth. It is the perfect time for exploration, investigation, and the learning of life skills through trial and error.

It is not compulsory, but it is highly recommended your child attends kindergarten before going to school.

Research suggests kindergarten:

  • improves your child's health and wellbeing
  • assist them in developing strong social skills
  • encourages a love of learning

Why choose one of our kindergartens

We currently manage 50 kindergartens in the City of Casey. Our kindergartens are led by early childhood professionals. They use the most up-to-date research to ensure your child gets the most out of their year at kindergarten.

You can find more information on requirements for 3-4 year olds at Casey's Baby Steps website.
