The WPGA carries out projects to help councils and the community respond to climate change.
The secretariat of the WPGA is based at Narre Warren and is led by a Management Committee with representation from the 5 Council partners. The WPGA manages a number of projects for different sectors within councils and the community. These form part of a regional framework for effectively dealing with climate change.
Five Western Port Councils form the WPGA. These are:
- City of Casey
- Bass Coast Shire Council
- Frankston City Council
- Cardinia Shire Council
- Mornington Peninsula Council
