Primary School Years - Community Development
The years of primary schooling (5 to 12 years) are an important and exciting time of development for children. Children begin to form a sense of self-identity, become more independent, and learn to problem-solve and relate to others. Children's development during the primary school years builds a foundation upon which they grow into unique young people and adults.
