Children begin to form a sense of self-identity, become more independent, and learn to problem-solve and relate to others. Children's development during the primary school years builds a foundation upon which they grow into unique young people and adults.
Primary Years Support Officer (PYSO)
The Primary Years Support Officer is committed to every primary school-aged child within the City of Casey learning, growing, being valued and respected as they become capable and happy young people.
This means:

promoting the development, health and wellbeing of children

supporting families to care for their children
- facilitating community connectedness and respect of children, and
- supporting service providers and schools to meet the needs of children and families in Casey
