SubscribeFollowing a major review of existing services offered to young people and extensive research and consultation with young people, local youth services providers, schools, parents and key community agencies, the City of Casey adopted the Casey Youth Strategy, a 10-year plan to address issues and deliver services for Australia’s fastest-growing community of young people.
Some of the key issues which emerged from the research and which are addressed in the strategy include:
- Building a sense of belonging in the community.
- Focussing attention on families.
- Providing positive guidance for young people.
- Improving linkages and networking of services.
- Developing additional services and facilities.
