Paths and Trails
The City of Casey has a vast and integrated network of paths and trails suitable for walking, cycling and where appropriate, equestrian use.
Casey Paths and Trails Strategy
The City of Casey’s Draft Paths and Trails Strategy (Draft Strategy) and Reference Document were made available for public comment between 10 October and 4 November 2011. Thank you to everyone who provided submissions during this time.
The Draft Strategy aims to provide the municipality with a connected network of paths and trails by addressing existing gaps within the network, streamlining the implementation process and providing a design guide for the growth areas and existing areas.
Through the implementation of the Paths and Trails Strategy Council seeks to increase the use of sustainable transport options to improve the overall health and wellbeing of Casey residents.
The Draft Strategy is currently being revised to consider the comments provided during the public exhibition period. It is anticipated that a Final Report will be presented to Council for adoption early in the New Year.
