Community groups and organisations are encouraged to apply for a one-off Operational/Minor Equipment Grant before Friday 12 October 2012.
Funds of up to $750 are available for Casey-based not-for-profit, volunteer managed groups and organisations that provide services that benefit the community.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Sam Aziz said the one-off, annual grants program was a great opportunity for community-based groups and organisations to apply for financial assistance to support their good work in the community.
‘The one-off annual grants are intended to assist with training volunteers, setting up operations or for minor equipment needed to provide services.
‘We hope these grants will encourage and support hardworking local groups and organisations as they continue their work to strengthen the Casey community’, said Cr Aziz.

Applications will be accepted until 5 pm, Friday 12 October 2012.
