The City of Casey’s annual Winter Arts Program is on again from 1 July until 31 July 2012.
The month-long celebration of the arts offers fantastic opportunities for art lovers to participate in, and experience live performances, exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations and children’s activities.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Sam Aziz said the comprehensive program offered something for everyone and many of the activities were free.
‘The Winter Arts Program is a great chance to showcase local art, artists, and arts groups and for the community to support the arts in some form.
‘Now in its 11th year, the popular program is bigger and better than ever, driven by Casey’s own talented artists to promote and celebrate the arts across the municipality.
‘We are so fortunate in Casey to have a thriving arts community who work hard to put this program together to demonstrate our City’s diverse artistic talents.
‘Winter Arts provides an incentive for people to shake off the winter blues, get out and participate in a range of activities during the traditionally cold month of July’.
The 2012 Winter Arts Program will feature a range of activities for people to get involved or simply step back and appreciate, including a range of multicultural events.
