City of Casey Mayor Cr Sam Aziz has been appointed Chair of the South East Metropolitan Forum, which comprises Mayors and CEOs from Bass Coast Shire Council, Cardinia Shire Council, Frankston City Council, Greater Dandenong City Council, Kingston City Council and Mornington Peninsula Shire Council, in addition to the City of Casey.
Cr Aziz said ‘I am honoured to be elected Chair of the Southeast Metropolitan Forum and look forward to working with my peers to jointly address the unique challenges and celebrate the many opportunities presented in Melbourne’s south east.
‘The challenges facing the City of Casey as one of the fastest growing municipalities in the State, are similar to the challenges being faced by all Councils in the south east.
‘Working together, the forum will jointly tackle the delivery of much-needed transport infrastructure, the key area of attracting businesses and jobs to the south east and any other advocacy priorities that are relevant to the south east region’, added Cr
