New Exhibitions at Casey's Civic Centre Art Space
MEDIA RELEASE: 29 June 2011
Two new exhibitions of work by local artists, Anne Atkin and Rosalind Meadmore, are on show at the City of Casey’s Civic Centre Art Space.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Shar Balmes encouraged local residents to visit the exhibitions.
‘These exhibitions are a great opportunity to experience some of the wonderful artistic talent we have here in Casey’, she said.
Anne Atkin is exhibiting a series of works entitled ‘The Changing Moods of the Sea.’ Growing up in Sorrento, Anne was influenced by images of the ocean and beach scenes.
Anne’s exhibition affirms her love of the beach and ocean and the way the changing colours and reflections of them shift with the light and season.
Rosalind Meadmore is a Narre Warren North-based artist whose exhibition is entitled ‘Clay Creations.’
Rosalind is an active member of the Berwick Artists Society and also runs weekly life drawing classes.
Rosalind enjoys exploring many different themes and mediums including photography, drawing, painting, pastels and ceramics; her current exhibition in the Civic Centre Art Space highlights her ceramic work.
All pieces on display are available for purchase and price lists are available from City of Casey Customer Service.
These exciting exhibitions are on display at the City of Casey Civic Centre, Magid Drive, Narre Warren until Friday 29 July 2011.
The Civic Centre Art Space is open Monday to Friday, 8.00 am – 6.00 pm, and entry is free.
