The State Government’s Department of Human Services (DHS) can provide information about financial assistance available to people who are affected by flooding, information can be found at the Department of Human Services.
KPMG, together with the Salvation Army, has produced this Flood Assistance Guide which details all the grants and loans that are being funded by Federal or State Governments National Flood Assistance Programs Guide (KPMG - cutting through complexity).
Clean Up of Private Properties
Council does not provide a clean up service for private properties. Property owners should seek assistance from a private operator to assist with cleaning up properties.

Information for Farmers
Farmers are advised to contact the Department of Primary Industries if they have sustained losses or damage due to current floods, or require advice on:
- Urgent animal welfare needs - assessment of injured animals, destruction, disposal
- Live stock management - including fodder or water needs
- Technical information on pasture re-establishment, pest animal or plant control
- Government assistance available
- Access to personal support and other services
