What can I put out for the Hard Rubbish and Pruning collection?
In this article:
Total material placed out should not exceed 3 cubic metres.
Please place prunings, metal and hard waste out in three separate piles. Wherever practical, waste will be collected in separate trucks and taken to the appropriate recycling sites. Material placed out late will NOT be collected.
Clear access is required to your nature strip on collection day. Please do not park your car or visitors cars next to your waste. Green waste and scrap metals may be collected on separate days for recycling.

Where possible, place waste out no more than 2 days prior to your collection date
Rubbish that will be collected
All items no more than 55kg or 1.5 metres in length, so they can be lifted shoulder height by 2 people

Place Hard Waste neatly in an area that is 1 metre x 3 metres x 1 metre, as shown in the above photo.
Chinaware, crockery etc.
Car tyres (limit of four). No truck or 4WD tyres.
Household furniture and carpet (up to 3 rolls), toys, crockery, plant and plant pots
Sheet glass, wrapped and marked ‘GLASS’
Up to 12 pieces of timber (neatly tied) and not exceeding 1.5m in length. Nails must be bent over or removed
Mattresses and bed bases - any size
E-Waste - computers, monitors, TV's, DVD's, small electrical items and appliances etc
Remove straps from baby capsules and car seats
Scrap metal, tin and iron, no longer than 1.5metres -White goods - doors off
empty, clean paint tins (lids off)
Refridgerators (remove doors for safety), washing machines etc.
Electrical appliances, tools, equipment, mowers and small car parts (no springs or colis)
Rubbish that will NOT be collected
Overlength and/or overweight items of any nature
Waste from industrial and commercial premises and businesses operated from home
Waste material from erection, renovation or demolition of buildings; including fencing
Bricks, concrete, stone, clay, sand and soil
Liquids, whether or not in sealed containers including paint, oil, garden sprays, fertilisers and chemicals
Hazardous or offensive waste, including asbestos
Household garbage
Besser brick style incinerators
LPG gas bottles
Plasterboard, Cement Sheeting, Tile sheeting
Batteries, car bodies, fire extinguishers, barbed wire, unwrapped or broken glass
Pallets
Garden waste for hard rubbish collection

Up to 5 bundles of prunings and branches neatly tied in bundles and be less than 1.5 metres in length Bundles must be able to be lifted by one person. Tie bundles with string, rope or twine (NOT WIRE)
Single limbs, 100mm–150mm in diameter, free of leafy material can be stacked neatly without being tied provided they are less than 1.5m long
Tree roots are acceptable, but must be able to be lifted by one person (less than 30kg)
Vines, rose cuttings, weeds and diseased garden waste placed in paper bags or recycled boxes
Untied prunings or branches will not be collected
Green waste in plastic bags
Large tree stumps, wood, or roots (particularly over 30kg)
