MRA Cranbourne GP Run
The 14th annual MRA Cranbourne GP Run will be held on Saturday 27 October 2012. Make sure you save the date!
The MRA Cranbourne GP Run is a nationally recognised, energy-filled day out for motorbike enthusiasts, including fun activities and entertainment for families. People assemble to watch the celebrity wave-off and experience all the excitement as thousands of motorcyclists travel en-masse to Phillip Island for the 2012 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.
Further details about the 2012 MRA Cranbourne GP Run will be available on this website in the near future, including informatioon about stallholder expressions of interest, volunteering opportunities and the scheduled activities.
Advisory Commitee Community Representative Expressions of Interest are now open
The City of Casey is seeking the voluntary services of a community member who is interested in working with the Advisory Committee to deliver the 2012 MRA Cranbourne GP Run.
The preferred applicant will have some experience or interest in event management, motorcycling and/or community activities. They must be willing to attend evening meetings and work in partnership with event stakeholders. It is expected that five meetings will be held between July and October 2012.

2011 MRA Cranbourne GP Run event
Olympic Champion Kieren Perkins waved the chequered flag to send thousands of gathered motorcyclists on their journey to Phillip Island at the 13th annual MRA Cranbourne GP Run on Saturday 15 October 2011.
Prior to the wave-off, the crowd was treated to a performance of the National Anthem by local resident, Madison Pritchett, and families also enjoyed the activities and entertainment on offer which continued to be popular well after the bikes had departed.
The City of Casey was pleased to present the 2011 MRA Cranbourne GP Run, which was proudly supported by the Motorcycle Riders Association Victoria (MRA), Victoria Police, Star News Group and Cranbourne Chamber of Commerce.
