Funding and Grants

The City of Casey has a range of grants and assistance available to Community Groups, organisations and individuals within the municipality.

Prior to submitting a Grants application to Council, groups and individuals are advised to discuss the proposed project or program with the relevant officer or department by contacting City of Casey Customer Service on 9705 5200.

In addition to the City of Casey's grant programs, support and advice is available to groups who wish to apply for funding from a variety of other sources besides Council. By providing support in applying for State Government, Federal Government, Philanthropic and other grants, Community Groups now have better opportunities than ever before to access funding for projects

This support is provided by Council’s Grants Facilitator. Details of workshops and other services are listed under Grant writing tips and support for community groups below.

Environmental Sustainability Grants This is a shortcut to an article in another section of this website

Council has a budget allocation for the 2012/2013 annual program as part of the delivery and implementation of the Sustainability Plan. Funds will normally be allocated on the basis of a grant of up to $1000 to business, education institutes, community groups or individuals to develop an environmental sustainability project within the City of Casey.

Applications for Capital improvements to Council or Crown facilities managed by community groups and organisations on Council or Crown land.

Heritage Grants 2012-2013

Council has allocated up to $30,000 in 2012-13 to implement the Heritage Grant scheme. This scheme provides funds to eligible individuals, community groups or organisations to support their endeavours to maintain heritage assets. Applications close 4pm Monday 17 September 2012.
