Code of Ethical Practice for Victorian Youth Sector
What is a Code of Ethical Practice
The code has been developed by the Youth Affairs Council of Victoria (YACVIc) a peak body representing the youth sector in Victoria. The code was developed through a consultative process with members of the Victorian youth sector and set out the professional standards and practice responsibilites for working with young people.

YACVic provides a means by which the youth sector and young people can voice their opinions and concerns in regards to issues and policies affecting them YACVic works with and makes representation to government and serves as an
advocate for the interests of young people, youth workers and/or workers who work with young people, and organisations that provide direct services to young people.
YACVic also promotes and supports the participation of young people in debate and policy development in areas that most affect them.
YACVic is funded by the Office for Youth, Department of Planning and Community Development.

The City of Casey Youth Services commits to working ethically with young people and has adopted the YACVIC Code of Ethical Practice for the Youth Sector.
